Join Persis at the Community Hall for a continuation of the popular Movement Series. All fitness levels are encouraged to attend. All movements are adaptable to individual situations.
$5.00 Drop in. Seniors will be free for this series.
Fall/Winter Games Night
Bring your family and friends for an all ages evening of games. Bring games to share and teach your neighbours. Some games provided. Last Friday of each month (October was the only odd ball)

Chunky Blanket Hand Knitting Workshop
These chunky hand-made blankets are the perfect cozy gift to give someone you love this Valentine's Day. Different colour options available . Registration ends Feb 3rd at midnight. Spots are limited. Adult Trivia Night

Watercolour Paint Night
Come enjoy an evening exploring your inner artist. Create a beautiful watercolour painting guided by Janice, who makes the process easy while demonstrating essential techniques and thoughtful use of colour. A selection of images will be available, and you can choose the one you'd like to paint when you arrive at class. Snacks and refreshments will be provided.
Craft & Gather
Every Wednesday, the Joe Rich Society hosts a Craft and Gather event, providing a welcoming space for individuals of all skill levels to come together and engage in creative projects. Participants can work on personal crafts or collaborate on community-based art initiatives, fostering a sense of connection and creativity within the community.
Additionally, every other Wednesday, a communal lunch follows the Craft and Gather session. This lunch offers attendees an opportunity to share a meal, exchange ideas, and build relationships in a relaxed and friendly environment. Both events take place at the Joe Rich Community Centre, encouraging ongoing participation and social interaction throughout the season.
Watercolour Series
Please join Kelowna Watercolour artist and instructor Maryam Hosseinzadeh for this 6 week Watercolour Paint series. Monday evenings 6:30-8:00 pm. No class April 6th (Easter Monday).
It is open to all levels. Adults and Youth 15-18.
Participants are required to bring their own supplies. Check the list attached.
Food Safe Level 1
Ages 15 - Adult. There is a MINIMUM of 8 participants for this event to be offered.
Two day program, 4 hours each day 10am-2pm with a 30min lunch break. Final 1.5 hours of class is dedicated to the test. Course books and certificate upon completion included in price. Light snacks and refreshments provided.
Joe Rich Youth ages 15-18. This is the program for you, here's why:
Improves your resume information, Food Safe is required for many food jobs, sets you apart from others by showing your initiative to learn extracurricular knowledge which can give you a step up to first hirings and builds real world skills. This 8 hour program will get you certified!
Christmas Luncheon & Potluck
This will be a reservation only dinner so please ensure you reserve your spot. If you find you are unable to attend, please let us know so we can make room for anyone on a reserve list.
Join the Society and your neighbours for Christmas Potluck Lunch. The Society will be providing the turkey, ham and fixings.
Please bring a salad or dessert to feed 8-10 people.
Gingerbread competition with 3 categories. Bring your completed houses to the Potluck.
Kiki the Elf will be entertaining the kids at 2:00 pm
Whoo Tree Workshop
Corinne Rimstad, owner of Mission Park Flowers, will guide you in the design of your Whimsical Whoo Tree. All materials are provided, although, if you have a set of garden pruners please bring those with you. Light snacks and refreshments provided.
Christmas Wreath Workshop
Design your own Christmas Wreath using fresh greens, decorations and ribbon. Light snacks and refreshments provided. Please bring a pair of garden pruners as there may not be enough to supply the whole class.

Join your neighbours for our Annual Joe Rich Community Market. Incredible local artisans providing crafts, Christmas treasures and the Society will be serving lunch. Sign up and see you there.

GENTLE MOVEMENT CLASS
Because the Community Hall parking lot is being paved, this class will start on October 21st and end on December 2.
6 class series on Tuesday afternoons, join us for a 1-hour gentle movement class where everyone is welcome – no matter your age or fitness level. Whether you're new to fitness, recovering from an injury, or simply looking for a safe, supportive environment to move, this class is for YOU!
Fused Glass Suncatchers Class
The Joe Rich Community Centre is hosting a glassworks class designed for local residents interested in exploring the art of glassblowing and lampworking. Participants learned foundational techniques in shaping and colouring molten glass under the guidance of an experienced instructor. The intimate setting allowed for hands-on practice and personalised feedback, fostering creativity and skill development within the small community. The class aimed to provide a unique artistic experience while promoting local craft traditions.
Joe Rich Community Market and Dinner
Join us for a charming community market and dinner event on September 12th from 4 PM to 8 PM at the Joe Rich Community Hall. Enjoy browsing local vendors offering fresh produce, handmade crafts, and artisanal goods. Stay for a casual dinner featuring locally sourced ingredients and connect with neighbours in a welcoming atmosphere. All ages are welcome. Admission is free.
