Joe Rich Society
Non-Instructor/Facilitator Groups
The Society Directors are striving to make the Joe Rich Community Hall more accessible to Joe Rich Community Members when it is not being used for programs or events. We invite Members to tell us the type of activities or groups in which they would be interested. These will be “Non-Instructor/Facilitator Groups” who can meet like-minded Community Members doing an activity or discussing something they enjoy.
Groups will be advertised on the web site and must be open to all Community members. The Groups will have to have an authorized Facilitator or Volunteer present. Although there will be no charge, registration will be required as with programs and other activities along with signing in and signing out when attending.
If you have a suggestion for a group or activity you would be interested in please send an email with your contact information to the Society. The Society will then contract you to choose a suitable day and time and then advertise on the website. If there is sufficient interest, and if we have an authorized Volunteer/Facilitator, the group will be able to meet.
Following from that, the Society will recruit some Volunteers/Facilitators to help accommodate these Groups. As we have to fulfill the requirements on the Agreement with RDCO and follow Not for Profit best practices recommendations regarding children and vulnerable adults, volunteers will be subject to the same requirements as Society Directors and Contractors. Once approved Volunteer/Facilitators will be given written instructions for the appropriate and safe use of the Hall.
If you would like to volunteer please send an email to the Society with your contact information.
A Volunteer/Facilitator package will be sent to you.
Once those are completed you will be contacted and an orientation time will be arranged.
